I mean there was a post the other day about some guy buying 40 Dream Routers, sure it was for deployment but that would wipe a lot of regional stock. 1. LR = POE + (will have to buy new switches) LR = 4x4 MIMO & 4x4 MIMO. LR = throughput 2400 Mbps 5Ghz. PRO= POE (no new switches) PRO = 2x2 MIMO and 4x4 MIMO. PRO=throughput 4.8 Gbps. so which is more important the extra 2x2 MIMO on the 2.4 ghz side or the extra speed the PRO has on the 5 ghz size?

It's generally not a good idea. You only need one combined 2.4 and 5GHz SSID for all your personal devices, if you activate MAC authorization. You can bring your devices into specific vlans with this configuration. You need a separate SSID for your guests.Setup the unifi network controller on your current pc. When you move, it will be real easy to create a backup and restore that backup to a Dream Machine/ Cloud Key/ UDMP. But I wouldn't bother buying new hardware for the OS right now if you just need an access point. 20.
