You can follow these steps to reset an XR11, XR2, or XR5 Remote, which has an inbuilt Setup button: Press and hold the Setup button. In about 5 seconds, the color of the LED on the remote will turn green from red. Press 9-8-1. You will see that the LED will blink twice in green color. Once your remote is paired with your set-top box, you can use voice control. Press and hold the Voice button until you hear the audio tone. Speak a voice command to the remote while continuing to hold down the button. The Status LED will be solid blue while you speak your command. Release the Voice button when your command is complete.
