The UDR is the perfect beginners tool for a consumer that wants something extra. It runs both unifi network and protect which and has WiFi 6 which makes it a sensible buy for home users. Who cares about multigig ports when you are supposed to hook everything up using WiFi anyways.. Eros.outcall

If you don't want a local network controller, Unifi will host one for you. You simply create a new site, connect your APs, switches, etc to your existing network and use the cloud based controller to manage. Also a separate Java installation, as in going to their site, downloading it, and installing it. The Unifi Server software comes with all the Java stuff you need. So, if you get the port 8080 is being used issue maybe try updating the chipset drivers, worked for me at least.Ubiquiti are the kings of flashy software and sub-par hardware. APs use cheap Mediatek chipsets, their NVR used to use a fucking USB thumb drive for writing databases to, products that simply don't work as advertised, firmware updates that seem like they never went to QA, and let's not forget the GPL violations..
